Step 1 - Accepting God's Love
Accepting God's love is the first step in your new life. God loves you so much that He gave His only son to die just for you.
John 3:16-19 reads: "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be saved. He that believeth on Him is not condemned; but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light because their deeds were evil."
Remember this from these scriptures: • God loves you. • The reason you are condemned. • The reason Jesus came – to save us from condemnation.
Step 2 – Accept Jesus
Accept Jesus Christ into your life. He wants to be everything you need Him to be. Romans 10:9-10 reads: “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”
Remember this from these scriptures:
• Confess means to agree with God that Jesus is Lord, your boss.
• Believe that Jesus is alive.
• That what is in your heart will come out of your mouth.
Step 3 – Invite Jesus into your heart
Invite Jesus into your heart. Just ask Him and He will come. Revelations 3:20 reads: “Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if any man hear my voice and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.” Pray and ask Jesus to come into your heart.
Remember this from these scriptures:
• The door is the door to your heart.
• To sup means to dine (develop a relationship with Jesus Christ).
Step 4 – Baptism
Baptism is a fresh start to your new life. Mark 16: 16 reads: “He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.”
Remember this from these scriptures: Water baptism marks the end of the old life and the beginning of your new life in Jesus Christ.
Matt 25:35 For I was an hungered, and you gave me meat: I was thirsty, and you gave me drink: I was a stranger, and you took me in: 36 Naked, and you clothed me: I was sick, and you visited me: I was in prison, and you came unto me. 37 Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungered, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink? 38 When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee? 39 Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee? 40 And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as you have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, you have done it unto me.
On behalf of the members of Cornerstone Pentecostal Church, it is our belief that we must carry the gospel of Jesus Christ to all mankind. It is essential that we reach out to those who are less fortunate, providing for children, youth and the elderly. We have a duty to reach out to friends, relatives, and neighbors and their families. We are to model Christ’s love and acceptance by caring for others through the ministry of kindness, support and giving, We must intercede in prayer for those who are in difficult and unfortunate circumstances. Purpose:
The purpose of this ministry is to reach out to as many people as possible by providing clothing, food and other necessities to those in need, and to provide support during times of crisis.
We take donations. If you have items that you don’t want or you know of anyone that does, instead of throwing it away or giving it to some place that’s going to sell it, please give it to us. We take new or old clothing, furniture and appliances (will be given to MAP if there is not a need at the church), canned/perishable foods, and money. We are not a “Junk Yard”, so if you know that what you are giving away is junk please throw it away.
Everything we do, we do for “FREE”. The Bible let’s us know that salvation is free, so therefore what we do and what we give is free. John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” Jesus paid it all in full.
Volunteers: God has given each of us a measure of talent. Some one, some 5, and some ten (Matthew 25:15-28). If you can fix a car, paint, do home repairs, cut grass or cook; these are some of your talents. No matter what your skill or talent may be, it’s all-important to God when it helps others. Every little bit “HELPS”.

“EMPOWERING A GENERATION” Romans 12: 1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect will of God.
On behalf of the members of Cornerstone Pentecostal Church, it is our belief that we must carry the gospel of Jesus Christ to all the children and youth. We must teach and guide our children and youth to walk in the Christian faith, to be leaders of the faith among their peers. We must empower and encourage our children and youth to experience the joy and fullness of living a Christ-centered life.
Our purpose is to provide examples in leadership to the children and youth. Our purpose is to provide the young people with a platform to learn and grow in the Christian faith through teaching that is geared toward their needs. We do this through the avenues of Sunday school, Wednesday night bible study, mentoring, children and youth fellowship events, plays, dance, children’s choir, praise team, youth ushers, etc.
The Children’s ministry is from ages 4-12 years old, which is broken down into two age groups:
Age group A: ages 4-7 years old.
Age group B: ages 8-13 years old.
The Youth ministry is from ages 13-18 years old.
In order for the Children/Youth ministry to operate successfully there are certain items/materials that are needed. Parents are encouraged to please donate the following items/materials to the Children/Youth ministry. If you cannot or don’t have certain items/materials, please ask around. The Bible says, “we have not, because we ask not”. We need your help and support with the following:
